Zurich expands group insurance partnership with Queensland super fund

20 February 2023

Zurich Financial Services will provide group insurance to members of Brighter Super, a Queensland-based superannuation fund, from July 1 after the two parties entered into a partnership agreement.

The insurer currently is the group insurance provider for the fund’s Energy Industry division. Brighter Super manages about $30 billion in assets on behalf of around 250,000 members.

“Zurich has made a significant commitment to group insurance globally and is focused on bringing the best of the wider Zurich enterprise for the benefit of superannuation members,” Zurich Australia & New Zealand CEO Justin Delaney said.

“We are excited at the opportunity to deepen our partnership with Brighter Super to support their members with great value and fantastic service.”

Head of Group Insurance Darren Wickham says with the new agreement Brighter Super members will have access to the insurer’s claims service, health and wellness offerings.
