Zurich digitalising International Programs business

20 June 2022

Zurich says it is digitalising its International Programs business to streamline processes and provide greater transparency, flexibility and simplicity for customers and brokers.

The company says the digital exchange of data will facilitate structuring and managing insurance programs, binding and renewing policies, managing claims and checking existing trade and economic sanctions as well as other legislative and regulatory data.

“Recent events such as the global pandemic, the crisis in Ukraine, supply chain-related issues and the ever-present risks of climate change are strong reminders of how complex and challenging the global risk landscape is,” Global Head of International Programs Marcel Weiss said.

“Today, businesses and risk managers need to be able to navigate multiple risks at the same time.”

Zurich will connect with customers based on their needs either through the My Zurich portal or via an application programming interface to a company-specific risk management system. The changes aim to eliminate administrative burdens for policyholders and brokers.

“In this highly complex and evolving environment it is more important than ever that businesses have reliable, up-to-date policy and risk data available at their fingertips,” Global Head of Customer and Distribution Management Vinicio Cellerini said.

“Digitalising Zurich’s International Programs business will help our customers to better prevent, mitigate and manage adverse, disruptive events.”
