Youi appoints ‘innovative’ marketing chief

14 June 2022

Youi announced today the appointment of Angela Greenwood as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), replacing Joachim Holte who left the business earlier this year.

Ms Greenwood joins from Optus where she has been Senior Director of Consumer Marketing since June 2019, according to her LinkedIn account.

She will start on June 20 and will be located at the insurer’s Sunshine Coast headquarters.

“Since day one Youi has set out to do things differently, so we were looking for a CMO that is innovative, forward thinking and with a passion to achieve extraordinary outcomes,” CEO Hugo Schreuder said.

“We’re confident [she] is the right person to lead our marketing strategy and team,” Mr Schreuder said.

He says the incoming CMO “is going to have an enormously positive impact on not just the marketing team, but the entire Youi experience for both our people and customers”.

Owned by South Africa’s OUTsurance, Youi’s Australian business posted a 68.8% fall in operating profit to $15 million in the December half on higher catastrophe claims and a change in reinsurance arrangments.
