WTW, Zurich accelerate ties with digital placement for property insurance

27 April 2023

Broker WTW has enhanced its broking platform with the introduction of digital submission for multinational property insurance, in partnership with Zurich.

The digital submission offering is only available in the UK currently, but there are plans to offer it in Australia as part of a global launch.

WTW says the integration with Zurich Commercial UK means the broker can structure risks and placement data at scale, turning it into valuable insights that make its broking platform unique.

Head of Broking Hugo Wegbrans says WTW is the first broker to provide a successful digital submission to Zurich Commercial UK through the broking platform.

“This streamlines the process to a real time transaction for both WTW and Zurich, representing a major step forward in modernising the industry,” he said.

“We believe that this digital process will greatly benefit both carriers and the insured, and we are eager to continue to innovate and bring new digital solutions to the industry.”

CEO Zurich Commercial Insurance Sierra Signorelli says the development is a “significant milestone” as the insurer leverages digital technologies to enhance customer, broker and employee experience.

“The ability for us to exchange information quickly, efficiently and in an automated way with WTW, for even our most complex business, is a great example of the progress being made,” he said.
