WTW selects head of casualty for CRB North America

Global broker WTW has announced the appointment of James Sallada as head of casualty within Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) North America. He will be based in New York.

In his new role, Sallada will develop and execute an industry vertical growth strategy for WTW’s casualty business in North America.

“James is an established leader in the industry with unparalleled knowledge and expertise in casualty insurance,” said Joe Drummond, head of broking at CRB North America. “He has a proven track record of creating a culture that celebrates innovation, diversity and is a vigilant champion of talent development. There is not a better person to lead our team forward in this new era where our focus will be on driving client value through industry expertise.”

“James is a well-known industry expert in the casualty market, and we are delighted to bring his expertise into the suite of custom solutions we aim to bring to clients, based upon deep technical and industry expertise,” said Michael Chang, head of CRB North America at WTW.

Sallada joins WTW from Marsh, where he most recently served as managing director and Northeast risk management placement leader for casualty. Sallada was with Marsh for more than 20 years, serving in various senior client-facing roles.

Sallada is the latest addition to WTW’s CRB team. Last month, the company appointed Andy Blasher as a global client advocate. In October, WTW named Michael Machin as head of broking for FINEX North America.
