Global broker WTW has announced the appointment of Despina Buganski as head of personal lines for Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) North America.

Buganski previously served as chief operating officer for WTW’s personal lines business in North America. In her new role, she will manage the CRB personal lines team in North America. Both the US and Canadian teams will report to Buganski, who in turn will report to Ionel Rizea, chief commercial officer and head of strategy and execution for CRB North America.

Buganski has more than 30 years of industry experience. She joined WTW in 2010 and has served as the chief operating officer for the personal lines business since 2015. In that role, she improved organizational efficiency and increased productivity for this component of the CRB North America business.

“Despina’s background provides a perfect fit for her to lead the personal lines teams throughout North America,” Rizea said. “Her extensive market relationships and understanding of unique client challenges affords her the ability to align carrier insurance program options directly with client needs. I am thrilled to offer her this well-deserved promotion.”

Last month, WTW announced the appointments of Tyson Stevenson as managing director of real estate management and Chris Condello as head of the Asian Risk division for CRB North America.
