Insurance Business Australia (IB) recently released its list of Fast Starters and Fast Brokerages for 2023, brokerages across Australia that excelled during unpredictable times.
Fast Starters are brokerages that have been operating for three years or less, making their mark on the insurance landscape. They have also confirmed their reliance and cemented their strong positions in the Australia insurance industry.
What makes Stonewell a Fast Starter?
Stonewell Insurance Brokers (Stonewell) is among this year’s 11 fast starters. It serves clients across Australia and specialises in a variety of risks.
The company prides itself on building lasting relationships based on trust and transparency, highlighting that trust is the backbone of what it stands for, with its teams taking the time to understand individual and corporation clients and tailor policies to their needs.
Stonewell account manager Lachlan Lee shared with IB that the company has added staff in the past 18 months – growing from only two members in a garage to a team of six, optimising their administrative and claims operations.
“In 2022, we had over 2,300 new business transactions,” Lee told IB. “So, that was definitely our biggest year as of yet. That was an important milestone for us.”
Stonewell’s growth centred on commercial motor, thanks to referrals across the transport, earth moving, and mining sectors.
“Lots of people will tell their mates it they get a good deal and are getting great service,” Lee said.
