Westland Insurance makes triple strike of acquisitions

Westland Insurance, which has billed itself as “one of the largest and fastest-growing insurance brokers in Canada,” continues to grow out its national presence with three new acquisitions for this month.

Effective October 01, Westland Insurance has acquired the brokerages Arrow Insurance Agency, Emsland & Associates Insurance, and IBMG Canada.

Arrow Insurance Agency is Westland’s first location in the BC city of Fort St. John. The acquisition of Emsland & Associates adds another Kamloops, BC location for Westland. Meanwhile, IBMG Canada in Toronto gives Westland another key location in the Greater Toronto Area.

Last month, Westland Insurance acquired the brokerages Montridge Advisory Group and BST Insurance. Based in Vancouver, BC, Montridge Advisory Group is an employee benefits advisor, while the Pickering, ON-based BST Insurance Brokers is a full-service P&C brokerage. The latter is Westland’s first location in Pickering.
