Westland Insurance has expanded its services in Alberta with the acquisition of Dyberg Insurance Inc. and Prairie Villa Insurance effective January 1.

Prairie Villa Insurance was established in 1973 in Northern Alberta, and it now operates in three locations across the Peace Country. The acquisition of the firm will help grow Westland’s distribution in Northern Alberta.

Dyberg Insurance is a family-owned brokerage that was established in 1953 in Edmonton, AB. It specializes in personal and commercial insurance. The brokerage’s services will be integrated with Westland’s existing operations in Edmonton.

“I’m very pleased to welcome Prairie Villa Insurance and Dyberg Insurance to the Westland team,” said Jamie Lyons, president and CEO of Westland Insurance.

“With a shared dedication to exceptional customer service and community involvement, we’re poised to create formidable partnerships with these two brokerages. We look forward to working with their passionate teams of employees to continue making a difference in their communities and the lives of their clients.”
