Westland Insurance has expanded its presence in Central Canada with its acquisition of Andrew Agencies Ltd, a full-service insurance and financial services firm operating through 22 locations across Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

Established in 1913, the business is well-known for its innovative insurance solutions and professionalized service that spans the agriculture/farm, small to medium-sized commercial, homeowners, and auto business sectors.

Westland president and CEO Jamie Lyons expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition and praised Andrew Agencies for its “culture, reputation, leadership and impressive track record of growth and innovation.”

“We’re excited to add their deep capabilities in P&C insurance, as well as life insurance and financial services, to our growing platform in Central Canada,” he said.

Scott Andrew, president and CEO of Andrew Agencies, highlighted Westland’s management philosophy as is similar to their “insurance industry family roots.”

“Andrew Agencies has served a growing client base since 1913 and we’re optimistic for the opportunities this acquisition presents to our clients, including expanded products and services, and the opportunities it brings for our employees,” said Andrew.

Westland’s acquisition of Andrew Agencies is the latest in a series of deals recently announced by the brokerage giant.
