Vesttoo hires Jon Ewing to lead ILS marketplace development push

Vesttoo, the insurance capital markets focused insurtech company, has announced the hiring of experienced alternative investments specialist Jon Ewing to lead the development of an insurance-linked securities (ILS) marketplace.

Ewing joins Vesttoo from his most recent role at global alternative investment marketplace fintech company iCapital, where he was Chief Marketing Officer.

Ewing takes on the role of Chief Marketplace Officer at Vesttoo, in which he will lead the development of the firm’s digital marketplace for connecting insurance risk to the capital market.

He brings the company over 20 years of experience in financial services and also specific expertise in launching trading platforms.

At iCapital, Ewing held a key role in the its positioning as a leading alternative investment marketplace provider, before which he had spent time working at Fitch Group, BMI Research, and Dunnhumby.

At Vesttoo, Ewing will drive its vision of creating a liquid marketplace for insurance-linked securities (ILS), as well as continuing to help build its existing product offerings.

Vesttoo believes his experience and track record will be instrumental in realising the firm’s strategic objectives and cementing a position for it at the vanguard of the insurance risk transfer and investment industry.
