IMA Financial Group strategic partners EBS Insurance Brokers and Sinclair Risk & Financial Management now operate as IMA Boston and IMA Connecticut, respectively.

EBS, based in Newton, Massachusetts, specializes in health and welfare plan administration, executive and international benefits, and financial services. Joining IMA in December 2023, EBS brought extensive employee benefits expertise to one of the fastest-growing divisions at IMA.

“We have been so impressed by IMA’s vision in embracing the opportunity in employee benefits and helping our firm bring our local expertise to a national audience,” noted Paul Rooney, founder and managing partner of EBS.

“We’re proud to complement a growing team in the Northeast that is committed to a client-focused approach and making an impact in the communities where we work and live.”

Meanwhile Sinclair, with offices in Wallingford and Norwalk, Connecticut, joined IMA in August 2023. The firm excels in sectors like construction, manufacturing, healthcare, and social service nonprofits. It also provides commercial insurance and employee benefits to mid-sized businesses and personal insurance to high-net-worth clients.

Sinclair president Matt Bauer highlighted: “With IMA’s strong foundation and nationwide resources complementing Sinclair’s diverse specialty knowledge, we are better positioned than ever to accelerate growth and enhance our client experience.

Since 2020, IMA has forged 28 strategic partnerships within the insurance brokerage and financial services sectors. Following its first New York City office opening in May, IMA’s expansion in the Northeast includes partners who share its commitment to client service, associate experience, and community impact.
