Twelve Capital, the Zurich-headquartered insurance and reinsurance focused investment manager, has announced a key hire for its catastrophe bond team, with former Credit Suisse ILS employee Tanja Wrosch joining to head up portfolio management for cat bonds.

Wrosch has joined Twelve Capital as an Executive Director and its Head of Cat Bond Portfolio Management.

She will work very closely with Etienne Schwartz, Head of ILS and Head of Investment Management at Twelve Capital in the new role.

Schwartz remains the lead portfolio manager of the managers flagship strategy, the Twelve Cat Bond Fund, while Wrosch will now support all cat bond portfolio management activities.

Wrosch will act as portfolio manager, supporting Schwartz with the overall responsibility for the Cat Bond Portfolio Management team and Twelve Capital expects her broad experience will further strengthen its established cat bond investment set up.

She has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, with a strong background in Portfolio Management of Insurance-Linked Securities.

Prior to this new role, Wrosch has been Co-head of Portfolio Management at Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies, where she had spent almost a decade of her career.

Twelve Capital noted that Wrosch is another key hiring to support the continued growth of its ILS and cat bond strategies.

Twelve Capital’s main UCITS catastrophe bond fund strategy surpassed $3 billion in assets earlier this year and is one of the largest cat bond fund strategies in the market.
