TransRe has announced two key promotions in its cyber division.

The Berkshire Hathaway-owned reinsurer has tapped Tina Kališnik (pictured above, left) to global portfolio leader, cyber, and Diana Liu (pictured above, right) to US cyber underwriting leader.

Kališnik, who joined TransRe in 2016, has been praised by the company as integral in building the company’s European professional liability business and client base, with a particular focus on cyber exposures.

In her new global portfolio role, she will continue to manage local cyber and professional liability client and broker relationships. Based in TransRe’s Zurich office, Kališnik is an accounting and auditing graduate from the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Economics.

Liu, who joined TransRe’s actuarial department in 2019 and later the US Professional Liability underwriting team in 2022, will take on the role of US cyber underwriting leader. Liu has focused on cyber underwriting and marketing and has integrated new cyber analytics and modeling capabilities into the underwriting process.

She is based in TransRe’s New York office and is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

TransRe also highlighted that it continues to support the development of cyber protection with these internal promotions.

Established in 1977, TransRe is the brand name for Transatlantic Holdings, Inc, and its subsidiaries, including Transatlantic Reinsurance Company. TransRe is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alleghany Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway company. It is headquartered in New York with operations worldwide.
