Topsail Re has announced the appointment of Christopher Miller as executive vice president and chief strategy officer, as well as president of Topsail Capital Partners.

Miller, with a career spanning nearly a quarter-century in the re/insurance industry, is recognized for his ability to address complex risk and capital challenges for clients, according to a Press release. Topsail Re touted his extensive network and reputation for providing outstanding client advice and results, both of which are expected to enhance Topsail’s offerings to its partners.

Miller’s experience is particularly noted in his work with specialty re/insurance carriers, MGAs, and insurtech companies, where he has a proven track record of fostering growth and increasing enterprise value.

Miller’s move to Topsail comes after his role developing and scaling the structured solutions business at McGill and Partners, a boutique intermediary based in London.

In his new position, Miller is set to dedicate a significant portion of his efforts to launching new partnerships and ventures, in collaboration with managing director Tom Gubash and others, aiming to strengthen Topsail’s capacity, capabilities, and solutions.

David Johnson, founder, chairman, and CEO of Topsail, expressed his enthusiasm for Miller’s arrival, highlighting their long-standing professional relationship and mutual respect.

“For the last few years, we have shared ideas on ways to further leverage the success, experiences, and networks we have built over lengthy careers for the continued benefit of our clients and our closest friends,” Johnson said. “Chris joining Topsail, an organization that he already knows intimately, allows us to quickly advance and execute on the key strategies we have been socializing and refining over the last several months. In turn, this will allow us to collectively accelerate the innovation and expansion of our solutions-driven platform.”
