Theme announced for the BIBA Conference 2024

Authored by BIBA

The BIBA Conference always provides a thought-provoking theme and 2024 is no exception. What’s next? really is a key question for so many life and business events and challenges from inflation to business risk and the economy, and technology to the environment – its application is endless.

Insurance brokers are often thought of as innovators – staying ahead of the curve on emerging risks and financial protection and they do that by thinking ‘what’s next’ in our evolving insurance environment.

Graeme Trudgill, BIBA CEO, said: “After choosing a reflective theme for last years’ Conference we wanted to look forward this year and support brokers in navigating What’s next? on the horizon. At The BIBA Conference 2024 we will be discussing What’s next? for insurance brokers from cyber risk and artificial intelligence to recruiting the next generation of young brokers and the changing political landscape. I’m already counting down the days until The BIBA Conference 2024 and can’t wait to welcome everyone.”

The annual BIBA Conference is the largest insurance broking event in the UK with 9000+ attendees and more than 220 exhibitors including insurers, service providers, brokers and software houses. Building relationships and doing business are a priority at the event, however there is also an exciting line-up of leading speakers to be announced in keynote, seminar and fringe sessions.
Young Broker Day will be on Day 2 of The BIBA Conference and is a fantastic place for younger brokers wanting to excel in their careers and discuss What’s next? in our industry as well as hear from speakers with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Emma Chapman, BIBA Conference Director, said: “We are thrilled to announce the theme for The BIBA Conference 2024, What’s next? As usual our Seminar Sessions will be a deep dive into the critical insurance specific issues including updated regulations, managing the impact of the cost-of-living crisis, fair value and underinsurance. However, we also have several new features that we’re looking forward to announcing in the New Year that will truly showcase What’s next?

The BIBA Conference 2024 – What’s next? opens at 8:00am on 15 May and will finish at 4pm on 16 May at Manchester Central.
