Insurance consortium Signers National has expanded its presence in the South with two major acquisitions.

The group has acquired Texas-based Affiliated Insurance Agents and Ballantyne Insurance Group, with both agencies operating under the Lamb Insurance Services brand post-acquisition. Both are expected to bolster Signers National’s offerings to nonprofit and religious organizations as well as human service organizations.

What is Affiliated Insurance Agents?

Affiliated Insurance Agents, headquartered in Houston, specializes in offering insurance solutions to religious and nonprofit entities. Following the acquisition, Tim Tanner, the founder of Affiliated Insurance Agents, will assume the role of managing client executive within Lamb Insurance Services.

“We are excited to join an organization with the depth of expertise in serving nonprofit and religious organizations of Signers. With the support of Signers and Lamb, we will be able to better support nonprofit and religious organizations in Texas and beyond, and we look forward to the great results ahead,” Tanner said.

What is Ballantyne Insurance Group?

Ballantyne Insurance Group, located in Charlotte, NC, focuses on delivering insurance services to human service organizations. William Bradley, the owner and operator of Ballantyne, will continue his leadership role as managing client executive after the acquisition.

“Signers boasts an impressive team of industry leaders and experts in the human services sector,” Bradley said. “There is a significant appetite in our market for the strong customer service and the wide range of coverage options they provide, and with Signers’ support, we believe we can best aid the North Carolina community with the coverage our businesses need to sustain and grow.”

Signers National also revealed that it will continue its acquisition strategy in 2024, with a particular focus on agencies that cater to niche markets, including the human service and religious sectors. In November 2023, the group added three retail agencies across the country to its ranks.

“With the added expertise and insights of these organizations, we are better positioned to provide a wider range of insureds with valuable coverage and insights to keep their operations running smoothly,” CEO Josh Lamberg said.
