Running from Aug. 15 to Aug. 17, it was announced that finance minister Grant Robertson and opposition leader (National Party) Christopher Luxon will open with political keynotes on Aug. 16, alongside Dr Duncan Webb, the chief government whip.
A news release also revealed regulatory keynotes from Clare Bolingford, executive director for regulatory delivery, Financial Markets Authority (FMA), and Christian Hawkesby, deputy governor for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ).
The main panel centred around this year’s theme – building consumer conference – will be led hosted by several industry leaders:
Naomi Ballantyne, Partners Life managing director
Dr Pushpa Wood, Massey University Financial Education and Research Centre director
Simone Robbers, RBNZ governance and sustainability assistant governor/GM of strategy
Andrew Inwood, CoreData CEO
Kris Faafoi, Agenda Partners founder
“This is the flagship event for the financial services sector,” FSC CEO Richard Klipin said. “This year’s theme of building consumer confidence reflects the challenging times we find ourselves in with a cost-of-living crisis and great deal of uncertainty about the economy.
“It will endeavour to explore ways in which our industry, Government and regulators can come together to support all New Zealanders to grow their financial confidence and wellbeing,” he said.
