QBE commercial partnerships manager to oversee Austbrokers, Steadfast engagement

Newly appointed QBE Head of Commercial, Partnerships Scott Bunting, who has extensive experience building broking networks, commenced his role this month with the insurer.

A QBE spokesperson says Mr Bunting will lead QBE’s Commercial Partnership Managers, and will be responsible for executive-level engagement with Austbrokers and Steadfast.

His appointment underlines QBE’s focus on the SME market, with broking partners seen as playing a vital distribution role.

Mr Bunting was most recently AIG GM NSW & ACT and before this, National Partnership Manager overseeing relationship management and engagement with major distribution partners, according to his LinkedIn account.

Prior to AIG, he was at Allianz where he joined as business development manager with responsibility for agreed sales metrics and establishing broker relationships. He later took up another role assisting in the design and creation of online sales and communication platforms for business partner distribution networks.
