Professional Warranty Service Corporation (PWSC), a subsidiary of PCF Insurance Services, has announced the appointment of Paul Weckerly (pictured above) as president and CEO.

Weckerly succeeds Tyler Gordy, who led the company from 2017 to 2023.

Weckerly has 20 years of experience in homebuilding and construction defect litigation. He joined PWSC in 2018 as vice president and general counsel.

“PWSC has been a trusted name in homebuilder warranties since the mid-1990s, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done in the past few years to continue that tradition,” Gordy said. “We’ve maintained our core values and expertise while modernizing our approach and minimizing risk for our customers. Paul has been instrumental in everything we’ve done, so I have full confidence that the company is in excellent hands.”

Gordy and Weckerly have been instrumental in driving PWSC’s growth, the company said. Together, they spearheaded the company’s rebranding efforts, implemented new technologies, and successfully launched products such as the builder’s risk insurance program and a warranty program for property managers.

“Paul’s demonstrated expertise in managing complex risk in the homebuilding industry, coupled with his strategic mindset, will propel PWSC’s growth,” said Jenni Lee Crocker, president of PCF Insurance Services. “He will strike the perfect balance between consistency and innovation as part of the PWSC leadership team.”

“PWSC has something truly special, and I’m honored to lead the company in its next chapter,” Weckerly said. “Our team’s firsthand experience in homebuilding gives us a unique perspective when serving our clients. Combined with our strong relationships with carriers and the support of our parent company, PCF, we have a true competitive advantage.”

Weckerly’s promotion is the latest appointment in the PCF family. Last month, PCF announced that it had appointed Rocky Steele as senior vice president of legal and compliance.
