Peace Hills General Insurance Company has renewed its support for the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) by maintaining its Full Partner sponsorship of the Broker Identity Program (BIP). The program is a national initiative aimed at raising awareness of the value that insurance brokers provide, including offering clients choice, advice, and advocacy.

The sponsorship will help fund several IBAC initiatives, including advancing technology, professional development for brokers, and federal advocacy efforts.

These efforts focus on maintaining the separation between banking and insurance, a structure IBAC believes supports consumer protection and promotes a fair and competitive market.

Peace Hills Insurance’s president and CEO, Kathy Boychuk, emphasized the importance of brokers in helping consumers make informed decisions.

“The BIP continues to play an integral role in ensuring that the public is aware of the services a broker has to offer; most importantly, options that allow you to choose the best value for your own unique insurance requirements,” said Boychuk.

IBAC’s CEO, Peter Braid, expressed appreciation for Peace Hills Insurance’s continued commitment to the broker system.

“Their renewed investment demonstrates their support for insurance brokers, their confidence in the broker distribution system and their commitment to providing the best insurance experience for consumers,” he said.

Founded in 1982, Peace Hills General Insurance provides home, auto, and business insurance products in Western Canada. The company operates from its headquarters in Edmonton, with branch offices in Calgary and Vancouver. Its nearly 300 employees collaborate with over 1,000 broker offices across several provinces and territories, including British Columbia, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories.
