WTW has announced the appointment of Parveen Kaur (pictured above) as global leader of operations, strategy execution, and data for Neuron, the company’s commercial digital trading platform.

The strategic hire comes as WTW looks to further develop Neuron’s capabilities, focusing on enhancing the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of doing business in the commercial lines insurance market through digitisation.

In this newly established role, Kaur will focus on creating an agile organisation that aligns with regulatory standards and industry best practices. Her responsibilities include ensuring the scalability and sustainability of Neuron’s operations, with a strong emphasis on innovation and efficiency.

Kaur brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles, most recently serving as chief customer officer at Leeds Building Society, where she was responsible for customer experience across distribution and product.

Prior to that, she held the position of head of operations at Lloyd’s of London, collaborating with the Future at Lloyd’s initiative to advance the creation of a digital insurance marketplace. Kaur also spent time as managing director for NatWest/RBS Personal Banking in India, where she played a key role in the bank’s turnaround and introduced artificial intelligence into the servicing and operations teams, according to company literature.

Louise Smith, global lead for Neuron at WTW, highlighted Kaur’s extensive leadership experience, noting that her track record in digital transformation makes her an ideal fit.

“This appointment is a testament to our commitment to attract top-tier talent to spearhead our ambitious plans for Neuron,” Smith said. “Parveen’s vast knowledge and expertise will be instrumental as we continue to expand and enhance the Neuron platform, ensuring that our capability remains at the cutting-edge of market practice, with security and stability at the heart of everything we do.”

Earlier this month, WTW also announced the appointment of Adrian Ruiz as head of FINEX (financial, professional, and executive) GB cyber and TMT (technology, media, and telecommunications), following the departure of Glyn Thoms.

Ruiz, who has been with WTW for 18 years, led the growth of the FINEX GB cyber & TMT wholesale team for the past five years. In his new role, Ruiz will oversee a team responsible for delivering cyber placements for both GB and global clients.
