nib calls on public to vote on recipients of three charity grants

nib New Zealand’s charity arm, nib foundation, will give away $30,000 in funding to three charity partners as part of the insurer’s 10th anniversary.

To help determine how much each partner receives, the insurer is urging its members, employees and the public to vote for a cause they support.

The charity that gets the most votes will receive $15,000, while the second placer gets $10,000 and the third placer, $5,000.

The three charities are Clearhead, which runs an online mental health platform for Kiwis focused on providing a holistic approach and providing access to local therapists; KiwiHarvest, which aims to rescue 4 million meals in one year by collecting good-quality food before it goes to waste; and Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand, which supports the families of children with serious illnesses through its home-away-from-home program, providing families with a comfortable place to stay nearby while their child is undergoing treatment at hospital.

The voting will run until 4pm on Sept. 21 on nib’s Facebook page. Only one vote will be counted per person, and the votes should be directly on nib New Zealand’s Facebook post, nib said. Votes on shared posts will not be counted.
