NFP partners with New York Islanders


Property-casualty broker NFP has announced a multi-year partnership with the National Hockey League’s New York Islanders. NFP and the Islanders will work together to drive progress in the New York metropolitan area, the company said.

“Partnering with the New York Islanders, an organization with a storied history in the NHL and a fantastic legacy in New York, is exciting for our organization and advances our community engagement efforts,” said Eric Boester, NFP executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “Like aNFP, the Islanders care so much about the New York community, and we appreciate being able to collaborate in ways that align our shared focus on helping people and expanding opportunities.”

The partnership coincides with the team’s 50th anniversary celebration, to be held throughout the 2022-23 season at UBS Arena at Belmont Park. The arena is the permanent home of the Islanders and hosts more than 150 events per year.

In addition to NFP branding in UBS Arena, the broker is the presenting sponsor of the Teacher of the Month Award, which recognizes exceptional educators in the area. NFP will also seek to engage with the Islanders on other initiatives, the company said.

The Islanders are part of NFP’s diverse sponsorship portfolio, which also includes two Major League Soccer clubs, Austin FC and MLS Cup champion New York City FC; PGA tour pros Jim Furyk and Darren Clarke; Rugby Canada; and Palm Beach North Athletic Foundation. Islanders alumnus Pat LaFontaine serves as an ambassador for NFP’s sports and entertainment group.
