NFP names chief sales officer

Property-casualty broker NFP has announced that it has appointed Mike James (pictured above) as chief sales officer.

In his new role, James will provide high-level strategic direction to drive the company’s sales organization and continue to serve in a leadership role in the company’s life business. He will report to Ed O’Malley, executive vice president and head of insurance brokerage and consulting at NFP.

“The chief sales officer role is critical to the next phase of NFP’s growth,” said Doug Hammond, chairman and CEO of NFP. “Mike is an exceptional leader with deep knowledge of our industry and strong relationships across NFP. I’m confident that Mike will evolve our sales organization, enhance our competitive edge and increase our market share, revenue and brand awareness.”

“Mike has the unique ability to motivate people to think bigger and work together,” O’Malley said. “Under his leadership, as we expand further across North America and Europe, we are excited to see his impact on the evolution of our sales organization that redefines success for NFP.”
