MSIG launches 'Overseas Study Insurance'


MSIG Hong Kong has announced the launch of its ‘Overseas Study Insurance’ product, aimed at providing support and protection to full-time students learning abroad.

A statement from the company said the new insurance plan was designed to take care of students’ health and safety as they attend school overseas, covering financial losses caused by unforeseen circumstances. This includes coverage for medical expenses and injuries, as well as tuition expenses, ensuring that students are able to complete their studies as planned. It also includes cover for school closures caused by the outbreak of an infection diseases like COVID-19.

Aside from ensuring the safety and well-being of students abroad, MSIG’s new insurance plan also provides cover for personal baggage and belongings, including laptops, mobile phones, and tablets. Additionally, it provides cash benefits or compensation for transportation and accommodation costs stemming from travel delay.

MSIG’s Overseas Study Insurance plan is available for students aged 6 to 50.
