MPI returns to King Edward Service Centre

Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) has returned to another of its permanent service locations – King Edward Service Centre – for the first time since it closed in November 2020.

The Winnipeg branch reopened on Monday and is located at 125 King Edward St. E (Route 90).

According to MPI, the location was temporarily closed to staff and customers when it was repurposed as a COVID-19 testing site by Shared Health. In the year that followed, a makeshift location was opened on Ellice Avenue to serve as an alternative option for nearby customers.

This announcement follows a recent reopening of MPI’s Portage la Prairie Service Centre in 2007 Saskatchewan Ave. W. last month.

Most services will resume at King Edward Service Centre, including the front counter, driver testing, and claims services. However, estimating services will not be offered at this time.

The location will be open regular hours from 9:00am to 4:30pm on weekdays.
