MGB Claims rebrands as McLarens Canada

Now named McLarens Canada, the firm is headquartered in Toronto, with additional employees in Vancouver. It has more than 30 experienced adjusters and support personnel specialising in complex, commercial, and specialty insurance lines, including property and casualty (P&C), professional and commercial general liability, cyber, medical liability, energy and natural resources, environmental, and film and entertainment.

James Giffen, managing director and executive general adjuster at McLarens Canada, has welcomed the complete integration. He added that the partnership has been a two-way opportunity – from sharing McLarens Canada’s market-leading expertise in the fledgling cannabis market to collaborating on evolving risks such as cyber.

“McLarens’ global network offers a huge platform to extend our offering to both Canadian and international clients. International markets and, in particular, Lloyd’s of London, are a significant focus for our business, and as part of the McLarens Group, we’ve been able to further leverage our credentials in these areas,” Giffen said.

Commenting on the firm’s rebrand a year after the acquisition, McLarens CEO Gary Brown said: “Given the strength of MGB’s reputation and brand identity, it was important for this to be a carefully planned process, but we feel that now is the right time for the business to adopt the McLarens brand. Globally, McLarens has the larger presence, and we believe this puts the business in the best position possible for continued growth and success.”
