MGA Insurance Group launches new office in Sydney

MGA Insurance Group (MGA), headquartered in Adelaide and one of Australia’s top insurance brokerages with offices and local portfolio managers in every mainland state and territory and Cambodia, has solidified its Sydney presence by opening a new office.

The new office is at 111 Pacific Highway, North Sydney, and brings together under one roof MGA’s Sydney, Manly, and Artarmon offices. It has 15 personnel, four portfolio managers, and nearly $58 million in premiums and writes 17% of the group’s national placements.

MGA group executive chairman John George OAM told over 80 guests during the new office’s grand opening: “Timing is everything… the grand opening night of live music, cocktail food, and refreshments was capped with fireworks as the Harbour below lit up for the annual Vivid Sydney festival of light, music, and ideas.”

Established in 1975 in Adelaide, MGA pioneered a partnership model of local portfolio managers who collectively support more than 65,000 clients. Its three sectors are farming, business, and strata protection, and it offers specialist business insurance for activities as diverse as car washes, wineries, and display homes.

Commenting on the grand opening, MGA managing director Paul George said they celebrated the group’s past and future.

“It was great to be together with our insurer partners, and so many retired business partners to look back on what we’ve achieved and look forward to what we will achieve,” George said. “For us, it is all about family and friends… we’ve grown together, and we’ve shared our successes.”
