Manulife launches new health and dental insurance contest

To encourage more consumers to secure health and dental insurance coverage for themselves, Manulife has started a contest where customers can win up to $13,000 in gift card prizes.

Customers interested in participating must apply and pay for Manulife’s health & dental insurance with their credit card. They must then email an essay no longer than 1,000 words to the company, which explains how the insurance has positively impacted them.

Manulife’s new contest began on August 29 and ends on November 20 – and customers have until 11:59 pm on November 20 to submit their entries to participate in the contest.

The insurer will be offering 84 daily pre-paid gas and groceries gift cards for the entirety of the contest period – 42 gas gift cards, and 42 grocery gift cards, in total, each worth $1,000. At the end of the contest, two winners will be selected from among the entrants, with one winning a $12,000 gift card for gas and the other a $12,000 gift card for groceries.

“Rising medical and everyday expenses can make the future feel threatening. And without coverage, it can be stressful to pay for the costs on your own,” Manulife said in promotional material for the contest. “We want to help alleviate the pressure — because at Manulife, you’re never alone.”
