Lockton Re has announced the launch of its global mortgage and structured credit segment, which will be co-led by Sean Hannah and Joe Koebele.
Hannah and Koebele will collaborate closely with the global Lockton Re team, including the specialty division based in London, under the guidance of Paul Upton, head of specialty, to advance the mortgage and structured credit segment’s offerings to clients.
Hannah, a member of the Lockton Re team since 2020, brings extensive experience as a credentialed actuary and broker. He was integral to developing Lockton Re’s analytics platform and its deployment to enhance client and market services. Prior to his tenure at Lockton Re, he was instrumental in establishing the global mortgage and structured credit analytics capability at Willis Re.
Koebele, who recently joined Lockton Re, has years of experience in reinsurance broking, with a specialisation in mortgage and structured credit solutions. His career journey began in investment management across various asset classes. Most notably, Koebele served as SVP at Guy Carpenter, having joined the company after completing his MBA at Cambridge University.
“We are excited to introduce our mortgage and credit offering to the market. Our growth story continues to be backed by the needs of our clients and the deep expertise of our team. With Sean and Joe at the helm, we will offer a unique platform rooted in technical knowledge and market experience that will drive meaningful value to both clients and (re)insurers,” Lockton Re North America CEO Nick Durant said.
