Lockton has announced the addition of Oliver Ross (pictured above) to its team as senior vice president of the global construction division in North America.
His appointment, Lockton explained, marks the beginning of a series of strategic hires aimed at strengthening the business line. Ross, who is stationed in London, will take on the responsibility of developing and expanding Lockton’s North American construction casualty services for its clientele.
As per his LinkedIn, Ross brings a wealth of experience to Lockton, having previously served as underwriting director for casualty facultative at Arch Re Europe. Ross’s extensive background also includes senior casualty underwriting positions at General Reinsurance Corporation and Liberty Specialty Markets, with his career in insurance beginning as a US casualty broker at Price Forbes.
This new venture into the North American construction casualty market is part of Lockton Companies LLP’s efforts to continue the rapid expansion of its global real estate and construction business. The division now has over 200 partners and associates.
Richard Owen, partner at Lockton Companies LLP and head of global real estate and construction, highlighted the strategic importance of expanding into North American construction casualty services.
“Oliver is the ideal candidate to spearhead our new offering and our clients will benefit from his extensive experience,” Owen said. “We are looking forward to building out the team and its capabilities further in the coming months.”
