Advisory firm Lioner International Group has announced the inauguration of its new office in Beijing as it aims to bolster the firm’s family office advisory services in China and foster enhanced synergy across the region, aligning with its existing offices in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Through these offices, Lioner will offer comprehensive 3-in-1 solutions encompassing insurance, trust, and family office advisory services tailored for high-net-worth (HNW) clientele.

The establishment of Lioner’s Beijing office not only underscores the company’s belief in China’s sustained economic growth but also recognizes the nation’s significant global economic influence. Unlike its Hong Kong and Singapore counterparts, the Beijing office will not operate as a broker within China. Instead, its primary focus will be on delivering unparalleled family office advisory services, catering to the surging demand for such services in the Chinese market.

The surge in affluent families in China opting for family offices to address their strategic wealth management needs is undeniable. Through its Beijing presence, Lioner is poised to collaborate closely with local family offices, offering invaluable insights from both local perspectives and international viewpoints. This collaborative approach aims to empower these families as they embark on the next phase of their journey, equipped with a sense of security.

The advisory framework is designed to facilitate a smooth transition, ensure robust governance, and foster familial harmony. Clients will benefit from a range of advisory services tailored to address diverse wealth planning requirements, including family governance, the formulation of family constitutions, ownership structure optimization, and comprehensive planning for the education of their children.

Lioner Beijing managing director and responsible officer Lucy Lu will head the firm’s business development efforts in Beijing. She comes to this role with nearly 15 years of experience in the financial services field, serving HNW clients and listed companies.

“With a deep local understanding of Chinese culture, Lioner can advise HNW clients on family constitutions, family office structure, and other areas, helping them to establish governance structure according to their needs, achieve smooth power transition and develop guiding principles for all family members to follow. Our knowledge of the game is like no other, and we work with leading industry players and complement their service offerings to provide all-round advisory services that cater to HNW clients’ diverse needs,” Lu said.
