Ledger hires Kopko as MD Capital Markets with fundraising IR experience
Ledger Investing, the insurance technology (insurtech) and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused company, has added a new executive with significant fundraising and investor relations expertise.
Lenore Kopko has joined Ledger Investing as a Managing Director, Capital Markets.
Her background includes more than a decade of experience on the fundraising, investor relations and capital formations side of largely alternative assets and credit focused investment firms.
Kopko’s career has seen her responsible for raising $4 billion of assets into alternative investment strategies, while overseeing investor relations for more than $10 billion of assets, with institutional capital raises and relationships in the family office space.
Roles of note include 7 years as Chief Investment Officer for Mezzacappa Management, a family office and fund of funds platform focused on private capital and alternative assets.
Following that, Kopko spent 2 years at Corbin Capital LLC, a fund of funds manager focused on credit, structured credit, equity, and hedge fund strategies.
Then, Kopko worked as Chief Product Specialist in New York for London-headquartered alternative credit, real estate, and structured credit firm CQS for 2 years, after which she spent 3 years at JP Morgan as a Managing Director focused on hedge funds, venture and private equity.
Kopko then worked for 2 years at Virgo Investment Group as its Global Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations, before most recently spending 3 years at Gotham Green Partners, a firm focused on cannabis, health and wellness focused venture capital and special situations credit, in a similar fundraising and IR role.
Ledger Investing had recent fundraising success, in striking an arrangement to develop a $100 million ILS fund in partnership with Saudi Arabia based investment institution ANB Capital.
