Insurtech Australia seeks Partnership Manager as member numbers grow

Report proposes 'self-funding' insurance model for export industries

Insurtech Australia welcomed four new members last month and is growing its team, undergoing a search for a new Partnership Manager.

Insurtechs Day By Day and AYLA are new members, while Monoova and SSP signed up as ecosystem partners.

Melbourne-based Day By Day says it is building the world’s first insurance platform using decentralized finance (DeFi) similar to that used by cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

“Security and safety of your data and information is fundamental so we built our app using the best security technology there is, blockchain,” it said. “We are curious and pioneering, determined to make an impact when we see a system or process that’s been left behind in our modern world.”

The AYLA app automatically synchronises and tracks consumer bills, reminds and facilitates bill payments, and automatically scans the market and helps with sign up and management for better insurance deals.

“Ayla is the only AI-powered assistant for all your recurring bills, expenses, and services, enabling you to manage everything in just a few clicks,” the fintech says. “She automates everyday financial chores, like comparing and switching providers to save money. Plus, the more you use Ayla, the smarter she’ll get, providing you with a super personalised experience based on your habits and spending.”

Monoova has designed an end-to-end payment solution that can support insurance industry firms with seamlessly receiving, managing and paying funds, offering real-time receiving and making of payments and reconciliation.

SSP provides a cloud-based core insurance platform with processing across policy administration, claims, finance and reinsurance. It has over 50 customers in the Asia Pacific region and says it is perfect for insurtechs requiring core administration processing.

“SSP has worked with a number of insurtech startups, and we’re keen to encourage other members of Insurtech Australia to integrate with our platform and participate in our partner ecosystem,” it said.

This month, Insurtech Australia and member KOBA Insurance will host a Melbourne Networking Event at ACS Melbourne Innovation Hub & ACS Victoria and a Sydney Networking Event at Stone & Chalk, as well as an online educational session with DLA Piper.

In May, platinum partner Marsh will host a members and partners breakfast networking event exploring opportunities for collaboration in the insurtech sector.
