Insurance House parent acquires Victorian brokerage

15 November 2022

Insurance Brands Australia has acquired Bendigo-based brokerage Aus Insurance Services, strengthening its presence in the north-western region of Victoria.

The Steadfast-owned business completed the acquisition of its former authorised partner last week for an undisclosed amount. Insurance Brands Australia is the parent company of Insurance House and other intermediaries with a combined $438 million in annual gross written premium.

Insurance House Broking GM Scott Leis says he is “genuinely excited to be bringing Aus Insurance Services into the Insurance House family”.

Aus Insurance Services MD Jarrod Nelson is now an integral part of the Insurance House Bendigo Team, continuing to support existing and new clients in regional Victoria, the Melbourne brokerage says in a brief statement on its website.

As part of Insurance House, Aus Insurance clients will access a broader range of products, competitively negotiated premiums and innovative risk management solutions including workers’ compensation and life insurance.

They will also have access to a 24/7 emergency claims assistance hotline and specialist underwriting facilities as well as roadside assistance.

Steadfast acquired Insurance Brands Australia in August for $301 million.
