INsight podcast: commissions, climate change and coal

9 November 2022

Recommendations to allow broker commissions to continue are the dominant discussion point on the latest edition of the Insurance News podcast.

As insuranceNEWS.com.au has reported, Quality of Advice reviewer Michelle Levy believes broker commissions should stay, but that written consent from clients is required in some situations.

This week’s edition of INsight, hosted by Insurance News MD Andrew Silcox, features the observations of Managing Editor John Deex, Deputy Editor Wendy Pugh and senior journalists Bernice Han and Miranda Maxwell.

Other issues discussed include the recent Insurance Council of Australia conference, where a climate change roadmap for the industry was launched, ASIC’s upcoming review of consumer claims experience, and AUB’s admission of involvement with the controversial Adani coal mine.
