The sponsorship from HSB Canada will aid the BIP advertising campaign, which emphasizes the crucial role insurance brokers play in offering clients choice, advice, and advocacy.

HSB Canada’s investment will also bolster IBAC initiatives such as technology leadership, broker workforce professional development, and federal advocacy efforts to keep banking and insurance separate. The separation is key to consumer protection and ensuring a fair, competitive market, according to IBAC.

“Our brokers are our clients’ most important advocates, and HSB is again proud to continue to support IBAC’s advocacy on their behalf,” HSB Canada assistant vice president for regional offices and insurance operations Tammy Parris (pictured) said.

“A strong and resilient broker community is critical for our industry, both now and in the future.”

Meanwhile, IBAC chief executive Peter Braid expressed gratitude: “We greatly appreciate HSB’s partnership and their commitment to the broker channel.

“This renewed investment will support our ongoing efforts to leverage our collective voice to promote consumer protection and advocate for the best interests of insurance brokers, consumers, and the insurance industry.”

“Unica’s enduring partnership with IBAC is something I am incredibly proud of,” Unica senior vice president of operations Jennifer Ronca commented at the time.

“In an ever-changing consumer landscape that offers seemingly countless options for insurance customers, only brokers can provide the expertise, professionalism, and claims advocacy that best serve our policyholders.”
