Insurance brokerage HUB International has partnered with MAS Seguros, Mexico’s largest trucking insurance broker. The exclusive referral and broker program spans the US, Canada, and Mexico, supporting businesses engaged in cross-border operations throughout North America.
The shift of manufacturing operations to Mexico, driven by evolving global political dynamics and trade policies, brings with it increased risk management challenges. Companies moving goods between countries must contend with regulatory hurdles, crime, potential product damage, severe weather events, and accidents.
More Mexican transportation companies are also expanding into the US, further highlighting the demand for robust logistics and risk management solutions to safeguard assets during the transport of goods to and from manufacturing sites in Mexico, the US, and Canada.
Lisa Paul, chief strategy officer for HUB’s transportation specialty practice, highlighted: “The changing landscape of Mexico’s economy, modernization of trade agreements, and the growing trend of companies nearshoring production closer to North American markets have fueled an increased demand for on-the-ground guidance and a seamless cross-border insurance, risk and compliance supply chain solution.”
Through the partnership, clients of both HUB and MAS Seguros will gain access to a comprehensive network of insurance, risk management, and claims experts, as well as legal referrals in all three countries.
Additionally, HUB’s proprietary technology platform, HUB Drive Online, will provide an integrated digital interface, enabling clients to manage their telematics data and streamline their transportation operations.
“Partnering with HUB is a game-changer for our operations as it helps expand our reach beyond Mexico and offer a truly North American solution,” said MAS Seguros managing partner and co-CEO Alejandro Rentería.
“By combining our deep knowledge of the Mexican market with HUB’s extensive network, expertise, and technology platform, we are well-positioned to deliver seamless cross-border insurance and risk management solutions to our clients.”
