17 November 2022

Howden has acquired Counselling Appraisal Consultants (CAC), a Melbourne-based specialist rehabilitation, safety, wellbeing and employment services provider.

The broker says the investment will support Howden’s goal to expand its offering of rehabilitation, safety and wellbeing solutions to clients on the eastern seaboard.

“This is a wonderful acquisition for Howden in the Pacific, and we are delighted that CAC have chosen Howden to be their home,” Howden Pacific CEO Matt Bacon said.

“This acquisition is another great step forward in our strategy to expand our platform in Victoria and provide an exceptional client service offering in the Pacific market.”

Established in 1995, CAC provides injury management, occupational rehabilitation, return to work program development and implementation, injury prevention, occupational health and safety and risk management, vocational and employment services in the Victorian market.

CAC Principal Paul Serong says Howden is a “perfect fit” for the business as it seeks to achieve more success.

“In order to continue our growth, we were determined to partner with a company that shared our vision and values,” Mr Serong said.

“Our senior management team, all our staff, and I, are delighted to be joining Howden. The CAC journey so far has been an exciting one, and we look forward to continuing the successful development of the business in partnership with Howden.”
