Established in 1941, claims management company Crawford & Company (Crawford) prides itself on consistently adapting to evolving market and consumer needs. This year, the company has been named one of the winners of Insurance Business’s 5-Star Insurance Innovators awards.

The awards celebrate some of the most innovative insurance companies in Australia and New Zealand.

Going beyond traditional methods

In an interview with Insurance Business, Crawford president Tim Jarman said the company has continued to provide innovative solutions by developing what they refer to as “large loss solution,” which revolves around repairing or reinstating large residential losses.

The solution has developed into the One Crawford approach, bringing together:

specialty loss adjusting;
CRD building consultants and engineers;
deliver a flexible working environment; and
contractor connection (Crawford’s managed repair arm).

“Essentially, the traditional process sees an array of players that may or may not be present in the many and varied settings of a large loss claim,” Jarman said. “Our model drives superior outcomes in every setting, with key roles being assigned from the initial triage throughout the Crawford ecosystem.”
