Hilb Group acquires MS-based The Nowell Agency

Offering a range of insurance products for both individuals and businesses, The Nowell Agency has offices in Brandon, Greenwood, Tupelo, Byram, and Hattiesburg, MS. According to a release, the agency was created on the premise of offering “affordable, customized insurance solutions for a variety of clients based on their unique requirements and needs.” The industries this agency serves include fuel distribution, habitational, agribusiness, and more.

Following the acquisition, The Nowell Agency president Michael Nowell and his team of insurance professionals will join THG’s Southeast regional operations.

With the acquisition of The Nowell Agency, THG now has locations in 24 states, though THG serves clients throughout the US.

In other acquisition-related news, THG in October acquired Allegacy Benefit Solutions. Based in North Carolina, Allegacy Benefit Solutions designs custom employee benefits programs.
