Highstreet Insurance Partners (HSIP) announced its acquisition of Mitchell Agency, Inc, a Largo, Fla.-based business and personal insurance provider.
The deal adds another location and eight employees to Highstreet’s Gulf region operations under the leadership of Gulf regional president Vin Stazzone.
Founded in 2018 and headquartered in Traverse City, Michigan, Highstreet Insurance Partners is a full-service independent agency offering a wide range of insurance products, including business insurance, employee benefits, personal insurance, retirement services, and specialty risk solutions. HSIP delivers these services through a network of community-focused agencies.
Other acquisitions for Highstreet
In August, Highstreet also expanded its employee benefits capabilities with the acquisition of Wingert Insurance Agency, based in Mill Creek, Washington. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Wingert specializes in employee benefits as well as property and casualty insurance services.
Wingert Insurance Agency’s president Shelley Wingert and vice president Jason Wingert will continue to manage the agency’s operations, working from their current office under the leadership of Highstreet’s West Regional president Brian Clifford.
In a joint statement, the Wingerts said that their agency, which has served the community for 24 years, will benefit from the partnership with Highstreet. They noted that the partnership provides an opportunity to bring greater choices to their clients and prospects through Highstreet’s broader market access and resources.
Also in August, Highstreet announced the acquisition of Columbia Insurance, a Vancouver, Wash.-based provider of personal and commercial risk solutions.
While the financial details of this transaction were not disclosed, Clifford noted that Columbia’s team, focused on client service and operational expertise, would be a valuable addition to Highstreet’s West region.
Scott Mukensnabl, president of Columbia Insurance, said that the firm was seeking ways to enhance the customer experience by improving service levels, leveraging carrier relationships, and expanding product offerings.
Mukensnabl, along with COO Whitney Norcup, will continue to lead the Columbia Insurance team across its five locations, supported by Highstreet’s regional leadership.
With these acquisitions, Highstreet Insurance Partners continues its growth strategy, aiming to strengthen its presence in key regions while enhancing service offerings across various insurance lines.
