Here’s why CHU Underwriting Agencies’ BDMs are outstanding
Craig Stanley, national BDM
Stanley is a customer-centric, diligent, and detail-oriented insurance professional with 30 years of industry experience. He spent more than 20 years at Zurich in various roles, including financial lines underwriter, e-BDM, BDM, property surveyor, and senior underwriter. He joined CHU in June 2020 from QUS Strata Insurance, where he worked for more than five years.
Stanley caught the attention of 199s of brokers by being actively involved in the growing and ever-changing strata industry by:
Organising many training sessions for internal and external stakeholders;
Being instrumental in the success of CHU’s webinar training series for intermediaries; and
Regularly contributing to the Strata Community Association in Queensland through presentations on insurance and storm preparation, strata starters, and the A100 qualifications for strata managers regarding insurance and risk management.
He also implemented a strategy involving mentoring underwriters to improve their relationship management skills.
“He believes it is better to overcommunicate than undercommunicate and ensures all communication is open and transparent. He also maintains regular contact with his intermediary clients, utilising virtual social catch-ups when he cannot meet them face to face,” it was stated.
Inge Schaefer, BDM
Schaefer has a diverse background in insurance and finance in Australia and Asia. As a BDM for CHU in Perth, she has experienced a steep learning curve since joining the strata industry more than three years ago.
Certified in change management, Schaefer adds value by working with intermediaries in the ever-changing strata community and being active in the Strata Community Association Western Australia (SCA WA) Industry Understanding Committee, where she recently became a board member. She also supports the development of learning events and promotes knowledge engagement across the industry.
