HelloSafe forms new partnership with Canadian travel insurer soNomad

Insurance and financial product comparison platform HelloSafe has entered a new partnership with travel insurance specialist soNomad.

As part of the deal, HelloSafe users can compare exclusive soNomad travel insurance offerings on the comparison platform.

“We are glad to become partners with soNomad and to be able to propose new offers for our Canadian users,” said HelloSafe director of public relations Alexander Desoutter. “soNomad is a key player in the travel insurance market in Canada today, and integrating their offers is perfectly in line with our objective of allowing consumers to save even more money on their everyday products.”

“We are very happy to become the official partner of HelloSafe, as our two business models share the same goal: to provide Canadians with the lowest and best travel insurance prices,” added soNomad chief strategy officer Patrick Lavoie. “Our company allows our partners to not only present consumer-friendly solutions – like our low cost model with our exclusive products – but also to offer unique options and products to the Canadian market.”

In September, HelloSafe announced that it raised $4.2 million in seed funding, in a round led by OneRagtime and Kima Ventures.

And last November, soNomad partnered with Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection, to provide Canadians with travel medical insurance. The medical plan will be underwritten by National Liability & Fire Insurance Company, a Berkshire Hathaway company.
