HDI property underwriter Ben Coghlan passes away at 28

HDI has announced the passing of Ben Coghlan, a property underwriter based in the Melbourne office.

Coghlan (pictured) passed away in his sleep at age 28. He was a respected and valued member of the HDI team.

“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Ben’s family, who have lost a kind and loving partner, son, brother, and friend,” said Stefan Feldmann, head of HDI Global Asia Pacific and managing director of HDI Global SE, Australia. “At HDI, as a team, we mourn a colleague who was thoughtful, diligent, and very well-liked by all. He was the first to put up a hand to help, was keen to learn, and had a promising career and life ahead.

“We are working with Ben’s family on how we will honour his memory as we support them as best as we can through this difficult and tragic time.”

Coghlan’s family will hold a memorial service on December 10 (Saturday) at 1pm in the Celebrity Room at Moonee Valley Racecourse, with parking via gates 6 and 7 off Dean street.
