HDI Global UK & Ireland appoints Simon Hunt as Chief Financial Officer

HDI Global has announced that it has appointed Simon Hunt as CFO for its UK & Ireland branch.

Effective immediately, Hunt, the current Chief Financial Officer of HDI Global Specialty – UK branch (HSUB), a subsidiary of HDI Global, – will be responsible for both HDI Global UK & Ireland branch (HDIG) and HSUB Finance and Risk functions in the UK and Ireland.

Hunt will continue to report to Richard Taylor, CEO of HDI UK & Ireland, with an additional reporting line to Stephanie Ogden, Managing Director of HDIG.

Hunt will retain responsibility for HSUBs Operations division. His appointment comes as a result of former CFO Richard Mangion departing the post at the end of August.

Speaking about the appointment, Richard Taylor said: “Simon continues to do a fantastic job for our UK specialty business; in three years he has transformed our Finance and Operations functions. With his role now spanning our commercial and specialty business, it will enable us to deliver a consistent approach across all three branches in the UK and Ireland.”

Ogden added: “I am pleased to welcome Simon to the executive team at HDI. I look forward to working with him in his new role as CFO for both organisations. I’d like to personally thank Richard Mangion for all he has delivered for HDI in the last eight years and wish him every success for his future.”

Hunt’s appointment remains subject to regulatory approval.
