Guy Carpenter hires Greg McBride from Mt. Logan Re
Reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter has added another senior employee with significant experience in insurance-linked securities (ILS) and collateralized markets, as Greg McBride, formerly of Everest’s Mt. Logan Re sidecar-like company, has joined the firm.
Greg McBride had worked at Mt. Logan Re Ltd., which is a collateralized reinsurance investment company that sources its risk via quota shares with parent global re/insurer Everest.
At Mt. Logan Re, McBride was Head of Marketing and Business Development for more than one year, having joined the company in April 2022 and been tasked with the expansion of the Mt. Logan investor base.
Prior to that, McBride spent almost seven years at insurance and reinsurance group Markel, where he worked on capital market reinsurance opportunities and insurance-linked securities (ILS) initiatives.
Before he joined Markel, McBride worked at reinsurance broker JLT Re, on reinsurance and third-party capital related accounts and transactions.
McBride began his career in Bermuda working for PwC as an accountant focused on the local reinsurance industry.
This month, McBride has joined reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter as a Managing Director, based in Philadelphia.
