Gilchrist Connell launches KM/BI solution with Morae

Gilchrist Connel (GC), a leading national law firm for the insurance sector, has collaborated with tech-enabled legal solutions provider Morae Global Corporation to launch a knowledge management and business intelligence (KM/BI) solution.

The firm is implementing this new KM/BI solution by leveraging the Foundation Firm Intelligence platform, provided by Morae in partnership with software company Litera to help law firms improve how they manage their data. The roll-out comes as GC experienced a 68.9% growth in headcount between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2022.  The firm said adoption of the Foundation platform will provide improved knowledge capture and business intelligence as it continues to scale its operations.

“Our firm is passionate about providing the best quality and value of service for our clients,” said GC chief operating officer Kirk Rogers (pictured above, left). “Innovating and embracing newer technologies is key. For example, we were the first Australian firm to migrate our iManage environment from on-premises to the cloud. We’re highly focused on enabling our professionals with the information they need, when and where they need it, so they can work more efficiently and responsively.”

“Working with Morae has helped us find the right solution,” added GC chief client officer Lauren Scott (pictured above, right). “Our clients benefit from the results, our people are empowered by the information Foundation unlocks, and our business continues to grow in a sustainable way.”

According to Morae managing director Allan Rees-Bevan, the implementation of the Foundation platform to integrate GC’s practice management, document management, and CRM systems will be followed by an integration of the firm’s HRIS platform, which will allow for the incorporation of employee data in their proposals.

“These types of systems offer a huge opportunity to leverage a wealth of information, often untapped by many firms,” said Rees-Bevan. “Gilchrist Connell is now empowered to make data driven decisions that will continue to improve the way they serve their clients.”
