Generali, Crawford welcome global cyber partnership

Italian insurance giant Generali has partnered with claims management titan Crawford & Company for the latter to provide specialist cyber incident response and loss adjusting services to the insurer’s corporate and SME (small- and medium-sized enterprises) clients globally.

Current and future policyholders who purchase Generali’s integrated insurance solutions for cyber risk management and incident response will have round-the-clock access to Crawford’s incident response platform and global network of crisis management service providers.

“Generali’s innovative offering of cyber insurance services expands thanks to the partnership with Crawford, which will allow us to support customers even more effectively,” said Massimo Orsini, cyber insurance head at the global corporate and commercial unit of Generali.

“We will have a new service available for our offer of cyber insurance products, strengthening the group’s position in the corporate and SME segments.”

The cyber incident response and loss adjusting services to be provided are part of the Crawford Cyber Solution, which was introduced in 2015.

“The outputs of our cyber network solution are clear: to minimise the impact of a cyber-related event on Generali customers’ business operations and brand reputation,” added Crawford’s chief executive for international operations, Andrew Bart.
